Their food is decent, service is usually good too

Trying some bbq in Texas is a must for visitors.. The state of Texas has some of the best bbq in the United States, if not the world.. This Texas Best Smokehouse is about average.. The food is ok, but I can't say it's the best in the whole state.. Several options are available to fit your hunger needs.. The restaurant has a great set-up for the family, and that Texas traditional vibe.. If the food quality was just alittle better(tastier), maybe this would be "Texas Best Smokehouse".. The ambience makes this a cool place to stop by.. Bathrooms are pretty clean, and kept up.. Overall I think it's worth your time for a visit..

If you are looking for a one stop shop this is your place. Grab something to eat, pick up a souvenir, and fuel before hitting the road again. Just looking at all that there is to offer will give you enough time to stretch your legs. Lol

Love this place clean friendly staff and the food is awesome!

We were road tripping back and stopped for a coffee and potty break. Skipped coffee. Smelling that BBQ got the whole gang hungry so we stayed for a dinner of real food. Everything was excellent including chopped beef, ribs, pork sandwich, fried okra, Mac n cheese, fruit cocktail and friend pecan pie. So glad we found this place. I’ll add this to our favorites when we pass this way again. Get the bbq.

Must stop if you're traveling through. Nice big and clean. Restrooms are top of line. Food and snack choices for everyone. Yummy treats and food at the smokehouse was top notch. Plus they were open on Christmas which was a life saver for us. Thank you guys

This place will hurt you. Flippin awesome barbecue we will no doubt become regulars at this place.

Pulled pork and bbq here is good. I really like their greens as well. Kind of a big place in a gas station, but it doesn't taste like cheap, gas station food.

I'm not even going to attempt to put into words just how incredible this brisket is! The first bite almost brought me to tears. I've never had anything even close. Those who rated 1 star clearly don't have souls. Thank you to the morning crew, y'all were as beautiful and kind as the brisket tasted.

Food was ok.... it was overcooked and pretty tasteless but could've been worse. The prices are a few bucks above reasonable for this quality of food.

One stop for all and trucking parking in the back which was awesome! The food was good I got the ribs mashed potatoes and broccoli casserole. The smoked ribs were delicious! I loved the women restroom nice and clean. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Have everything u could imagine food wise. Novelty items. Good friendly staff. Very clean ....wish they had more trk parking.

Great tasting BBQ. A little pricey but worth it. This is a travel center/truck stop limited truck parking that fills up fast. The staff is “Texas” friendly and makes you feel welcome. Clean restrooms, there is also a Sonic inside. Overall a fun little stop. One of my favorites

Where to begin with this place. First time I ever stopped, I thought the lovely smoke smell was gonna carry me away. The beef jerky is the best. If you aren't sure you will like it, they will let you try it. And I have yet to be disappointed. Lots of little places inside whether you want lunch or just want something for dessert. Friendly staff always. If I'm traveling through, I always make a point to stop.

Delicious!!! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS 😋 I had the 2 meat meal with 2 sides Brisket, spicy sausage, fried okra and broccoli cheese rice... yummy in my tummy!!!! My husband had the 1/2lb brisket sandwich and he loved every single bit of it 👏🏼We will definitely visit again

Excellent place to stop while traveling. Restrooms are very clean. They have a very wide selection of food and other goodies.

The food is great, no doubt, but the service is slow and you often stand in line 10 to 15 minutes just to find out they’re sold out of the food you wanna order. This place needs to get some signs up to list what they sold out of so you don’t waste your time. They also scrape off all the exterior fat and seasoning rub of the brisket, So it’s often and dry and flavorless

Great place. Fresh pastry and fresh jerky and even fresh PB&J sandwiches and a lot more than I can mention everything made fresh and in house, Amier was super friendly and helpful. Everything you wanted a bonified one stop shop.Did I mention the fresh dessert selection, just look at my pics.You have got to try the BBQ second to none. Thanks for the great place see ya'll soon

Horrible customer service. There are other places where I can spend my $15 on a plate of food and feel appreciated. This truly is the place where customer service means absolutely not a thing. This is at the Longview location.

LOVE their beef jerky that the sell at the counter!! Nice that they will let you sample before you buy!!!I have also had their egg salad sandwich which was very tasty and a ham sandwich and chopped beef that were really good too.The staff has always been friendly and helpful when I have had any questions!I love this place!!!

Of all the Texas Best Smokehouse along the I-20 corridor,the one at exit 596 is the best to me.😎

It was pretty darn good, it was my first experience wirh Texas BBQ and fried pies. Growing up in Kansas City it was weird eating BBQ without sauce but the ribs were delicious. I had a peach fried pie and it was delicious. The staff was very hospitable and kind as well.

Stopped only for gas, but restrooms very nice. No door to enter and automatic paper towels😁

Exit 596.. Longview. We found this great place to stop while traveling HWY 20. On the W bound side. Very clean gas station, convenience store, gift shop, fried pies and other desserts, Sonic and the Texas Best Smokehouse- Smoked meats and fixings. I was very impressed with the large portion of succulent, smoked chopped pork. Sides were fresh and delicious. I got the slaw and the broccoli salad. But it was a tough decision because everything looked so delicious and fresh. The bathrooms were beautiful and spotless. Each stall had a hand sanitizer dispenser. Soap dispensers at the sinks were full also. Hand sanitizer at every register also on the convenience store side. A sink basin with soap and paper towels on the restaurant side by the coffee station. The sauce bar has the bbq sauce to satisfy whether you want smoky sweet or smoky and hot!

Very big place elegant,and good food little expensive and for the trucker not too many spot.

If you want to spend $9 on a meal and not smile afterwards, go somewhere else. If you don't mind spending a little more for something that puts a smile on your face, I recommend you treat yourself to a meal here. I spent $18.62 on just myself, but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I will stop again sometime. :-) *update* I had the spaghetti chicken special tonight and it was delicious and under $10 total! Try it on Sunday or Tuesday with a roll or cornbread and 2 sides with a drink! Recommended. :-)

Food here is always good, stop here almost every time im in Longview which is at least once or twice a month!!!

Only in Texas will you find a Texas Smokehouse and truck stop in one building! Limited parking in back for semis. 4 diesel w/def fuel aisle. Nice inside! Bathrooms needed to be cleaned.

Most of the time I’d give it 5 stars, but tonight I walked in at 9:30, they close at 10. All they had was lasagna, sausage, and chicken. All the sides were put up. Why be open if you’re not serving the menu? Close at 9:30 if that’s when you guys wanna put food up!

Brisket was dry. Ribs were tough and dried out. Sausage was sub par. Potato salad and baked beans were simply okay. Sorry, I was looking forward to giving a good review after reading the others saying how good the food was.

I had a 2 meat combo and it was quite good. The sides were fresh, looked and tasted good too. I'd eat here often if I lived here.

Best jalapeno sausage I've ever had. Overall the food was amazing and good atmosphere for being in a gas station!

They have a great selection of side and the ones that we tried are wonderful!
